What a rep actually does
Run your year group’s class socials
A coffee morning, a park meet-up, a pub evening — as many or as few as your year group wants. There is no set number; the point is that new families meet someone.
Host one event, support the others
The reps for each year group host one event between them. Beyond that, support other year groups’ events through the year where you can, and help find a few more volunteers from your own class.
Passing on notices
Forwarding the committee’s notices to your class WhatsApp chat, and telling us when something is not landing.
Fancy it?
We are not short of class reps at the moment, but if becoming one appeals to you, email friendsofthemead@example.com with your child’s year group and we will tell you who else is in post. We are always looking for volunteers, though — an hour on a stall, a lift, a skill, a hand at someone else’s event — and none of that needs a title or a commitment beyond the day itself. You are not committing to anything by asking.
