Ways to support us
What helps most
Auction lot donation
A product, a treatment, an experience or a service to put into the silent auction. Lots that people cannot buy on the high street raise the most.
Event sponsorship
Back a single event — the Christmas Fair, the Winter Ball, Meadfest — and be named on the tickets, the programme and the signage for it.
In-kind product or service
Raffle prizes, refreshments, marquee hire, printing, photography. Anything that reduces what an event costs us to put on.
Financial contribution
A one-off donation or an annual sponsorship. Every pound goes to the school; we take no management fee.
Volunteer time or expertise
A trade, a professional skill or a couple of hours on a stall. Some of the most useful support we get is not money.
Something else
If you have an idea that does not fit the list, tell us anyway. We are new and open to most things.
Nothing here is too small
We would rather have twenty businesses giving a raffle prize than hold out for one large cheque. Every supporter is listed on this page, named in our event programmes and credited in the auction listing for whatever they donated — and as we are in our first year, the businesses that back us now get called founding supporters for as long as we are running. Use the form below, or email friendsofthemead@example.com and we will come to you.
Why support us?
The benefits of supporting
Businesses that support Friends of the Mead become part of the school community, and that support is seen by the families of every child at The Mead School.
We work with supporters of every size. A product, a service, an experience or a financial contribution — all of it is useful, and none of it is too small to mention.
Direct family reach
Our newsletter goes to every family who signs up for it, and supporters are named in event programmes and auction listings.
Social recognition
Supporters are listed on this page, tagged in our event posts and credited in printed materials for the whole school year.
Founding supporter
We are in our first year. Back us now and you are one of the businesses that got Friends of the Mead off the ground — and we will say so.
Get involved
Fill in this short form and we will be in touch to discuss how we could work together.
